Need More Space

Need more space in your home?? How do you get more space, maybe declutter? Start going through the things that you do own. Do you need all that you own?

More space in your living area, will give you more of a sigh of relief. You will feel like you need more space, and will look around for more things to get out of your house. Now, doesn’t that sound like something you want in your life.

Getting rid of the things you live with daily. Things, that actually have no place in your house. But they are there, and they have nowhere to go. They don’t have a spot or space for them. But they looked so cute or you thought it was perfect. Or maybe it was a gift and you just can’t get rid of it. That’s when I thought of starting to declutter.

What Do You Do With Things People Give Us?

People and family give us lots of things on our birthday, grad, or get well present. No matter what they got it for, it is in your house now. It does belong to you, and it is up to you to decide if you keep or not. Since you didn’t buy it, you don’t feel like you spent so much money on it. So why is it so hard to get rid of it?

Cause someone went through all the effort to go and pick it out for you. Gave it to you, now you feel like you can’t get rid of it. Because of the guilt you feel for doing that.

No need to feel guilty, it has done its purpose. It was bought, to be given to you, you took it and received it. It has served its purpose. Now what you do with it is all up to you. So no need to feel guilty now. Feel better now?

That is what I think when someone gives me and gift and I don’t think I should keep it. It may take a while for you to think this, when you think of something you may want to throw away.

So just remember, it will be ok. Your place will feel better, without the clutter inside it. If it makes you feel good after you had gotten rid of it, know you made the right choice.

It Is Hard To Get Rid Of Things

I feel this when I look around my bedroom and want to just open a garbage bag and throw it all away. But reality kicks in, and I know I can not do that. So I have to figure out what I want to keep in my room, and what goes.

Lots of research on how I was going to go about it. Most of what I have found, is telling me. What do I love, and does it serve a purpose? You do not need to hang onto items you don’t even remember having. Just let them go, and move onto the next item.

What Do You Do With Collectibles??

It may sound easy, but when it is your things. It is actually a pretty hard process to do. Especially if they are sentimental items also, or even collectibles.I love all the unicorns that I have collected over the years. So many of them you can’t find anywhere else. But it needs to be contained and less cluttered so I can see and love my unicorns. So when I think about my space, I know I need to be able to find the end at the end of the tunnel. To see all that I love and care for those, rather than the clutter I try to re-organize, yet again.

I think it is helping me, by thinking of how my place was when I first moved in. How empty it felt and how I felt then also. It was a good feeling, and also easy to clean. That was the good thing about it, was it not cluttered. How do I get that back? By getting rid of half of what is in the space.

That sure is not an easy process. But I think after I slowly get rid of some things. It will get easier as I go. But little steps first, take some things away. Then maybe you will get to more things later on. Baby steps, and you will feel great along the way. Less stress and you will want to do more after.

Look around and want to get rid of more of your things. Mainly because of how free it makes you feel.

I Know You Need More Space

Take a glance around your house, see if you need all that is there? Do you?? Do you need all the furniture you have? Or maybe you just need to figure why you have so much to dust. or why you are constantly organizing. Because you have just too much stuff is why you are always organizing. Mainly cause you never got rid of things, just invited more in. Without swapping any items out at all, now it is too much for the original space you did have. Feeling more cramped and closed in.

I really think about that more now, it is not a bunch of balony when they who ever they are said that you need to get rid of one item when you bring in one. Or even get rid of 2 items when you bring in one. In order to not get cluttered and more cramped space. So I guess that means for your furniture that you bring in also?? I am not sure about that one though. That for me is harder, cause I just got a new kitchen table. Don’t want to get rid of my other smaller table. So I kept it, just moved it into my living room. Works and is functional in there now.

But again, it comes down to how much space do you need?? Do you feel cramped in or does it feel airy in your house? Think that is the big question. I know I have been wondering how to go about all this, what and where do you start? I do feel like I need to just take all my stuff out of my living room and just put in the stuff I love!! But it is easier said then done. I have too much stuff and too much furniture in there to go and do that. But a process for sure, and I will figure it out and get it done. Have my space back and love my space once again.
