I love painting my nails, it makes them look so pretty. There are so many colors to choose from. Depending on how you feel for the day. I love choosing metallic colors, the kind that makes waves in the color. I also love purple nail polish, and dark blue. I just found some great neon colors that look cool, come in pink and light blue.
When it comes to painting your nails, you can pick any color you feel like having. Make sure you are in a well-ventilated area to do your nails. You will want some fresh air when doing this, as others will wonder where that weird smell is coming from. My kids come in the room, and say “ew, your painting your nails.” So having an open window in the room you are in, would be a good idea.
Tips Before You Start
Now, you want to remove old nail polish from your nails first. Clean and wash your hands and nails. Make sure they are free of any old polish before you even start. So no old polish will mix with your new color, especially if it is not the same tone as the one you are putting on. I do this cause I love painting my nails.
When you chose your color, the next is to have a clear spot on a table to get your polish on. Have just your nail polish and the other things you will need. If you need a q tip for mistakes or cotton balls. Nail polish remover also. Maybe a nail file, in case you may need that too.
When I am ready, I make sure I also dust around me, cause I can’t have dust float around in my room. Just for when someone walks in the room and moves the air. Because remember you are painting your nails, and you don’t want anything on your nails when they are wet. Meaning that you will have to take off your polish and start all over again. I don’t like doing that, cause I always wreck my other nails that are done. So take the measures to make sure you have a safe spot to do your nails.

When You’re Done Painting Your Nails
All done painting your nails, then you will want to make sure to seal it all in. Meaning, that you need to apply a topcoat, to protect your nails. I love painting my nails a really pretty color. For today, I picked a neon color I found in the store last weekend.
So remember you do not want to be having a nap after you have done your nails. Cause the fluff from a blanket could still stick to your polish if they are not completely dry. That sometimes happens when you put on your polish a bit thick. Also, no doing dishes for you today either. Have someone else do them for you, enjoy your nails today and try again tomorrow. Try to keep their chip free and do what you can to ensure that happens.
Taking care of my nails does work, but things still happen. I work from home, so my fingers are always on a keyboard. Guess what! The edges of my nail polish got chipped, and had to do some repair work. So even that damages your nails. And yes, I did add the topcoat and it still had chipped. Maybe I didn’t wait long enough. Regardless, just make sure that all your nails are dry before doing something that may wreck them.
