About us is actually about me. My name is Sheila James, and I am an Indigenous woman living in Lillooet, British Columbia, Canada. Family has always been the center of everything I do. As a mother and grandmother, my goal has always been to support my family, be here when they need me, and to create a better future for the ones I love.
About Us
Before this Business and Website, I worked as a Hotel Chambermaid(housekeeper). The work was very rewarding, but long hours and unpredictable income often make it difficult to find a balance between earning a living and being there for my family. Like many others, I knew there had to be another way to create a life that had both financial opportunity and more freedom.
That search had led me eventually to the online business and content creation.
At first, I had to experience with blogging, websites, affilaite marketing, or creating content online. I knew I had a desire to learn and a growing interest in sharing the info of the topics I loved. The idea of writing about what I cared about while building for my future seemed exciting, even though I didn’t fully understand it all.
When the COVID-19 pandemic had affected my work hours, I decided it was time to take a chance on myself. Instead of waiting for the right time, I committed to learning new skills and building something that could support both my family and even my goals.

That decision I made let to the creation of 1c84.com.
Today, this website is a place where I share information, resouces, money-saving opportunities, blogging tools, lifestyle topics, family focused content, and ideas that can help others to create positive changes in their lives too. My goal is to give some helpful information for others to use while I am still learning and growing also.
I love the flexibility this provides. I can be present for my children and grandchildren while I am continuing to build my business from home. If my family needs me, I can step away and be there for them. This is one thing I do love about being at home.
Building this online business does take some dedication, patience, and be willing to keep on learning. Everyday I continue to work towards creating great content, helping others with discovering valuable resources, and building a future that supports my family and my community.
