Went to hit up a few thrift stores this week. Lots of fun exploring and looking for the next best deal. What amazing things I would find today. The first thrift store I found was one was a Hospital Auxillary. Basically it helps to support the local hospital with any sales it does. There I had found 2 Minnie Mouse stuffies. One was from Disney and the other one was Walmart or Amazon, just a Christmas one.
Still these were great, one was from 2003. What I found on the Internet when I searched it up. My granddaughter is gonna love these. They were marked Collectible in the Thrift Store and were a fabulous price. I sure did luck out on these. Cause they were in a section in the store that I never usually checked out. But that day I did, and so glad that I walked that way today.
I went to another thrift store and they were having a half off sale. So I got another deal, a rice cooker for under $4. Was a great deal, cause I actually owned on of these rice cookers before. So I was so happy to find this. Later I went to another store and found a metal bowl 3 QT size, with a pour spout. Now, I was really happy for that, and didn’t hesitate on getting it. Cause I seen one before and passed on it. So I basically missed out on it, cause someone seen its value and grabbed it.

Free Is Even Better
I recently got some great finds from Facebook. Someone just posted they were giving away a bunch of things from a Move out. That got me curious and I needed to go check it out. So glad that I did because I knew the amazing things I would find.
- a Pine dresser, and
- tv shelf- I use for my Printer
- an Ikea Box 4 drawer shelf.
- Queen Duvet set,
- hallway table
- a Free Oak Kitchen Table, 6 seater
Lots more smaller fabulous items. Was well worth the drive there. If we had not grabbed the items they were off to the dump.
Many people just give stuff away cause they don’t want to hang onto it anymore, and just want it gone. Some I find also are cleaning out a garage and just want all that clutter gone. Don’t want to even bother trying to sell it. Again, they just give it all away. I went to another yard sale that just did by donation. Anything you wanted you take and give any amount. Those are great too.
I went to one of those today, and got a few good items. Clothes and 2 Apple TV Boxes with the remotes. I got them for the remotes in there. Cause I own a good Apple TV already and just needed a remote.
I love going to Thrift Stores and Garage Sales
Sometimes you may find a great deal and other times you find nothing. But for me that just means that the next good find is coming. I just make sure I make it to the sales and just never know what I may find. Most times these great things find me. Love the excitement when I find something I need or been looking for.
Even when others don’t have fun yard saling, or don’t see the excitement. I do and love the thrill of going to them and I believe that will never change.
Why I go to Yard sales
I started going to them when I was little. Mom would drag me along to all of these. We would catch the bus and go to many Flea Markets. Those ones I love, because lots of stuff are all in one area. No need to travel elsewhere. Think it was all the things I found that grew my passion for yard sales. As I got older, this is how I clothed my baby. Was from going to yard sales, since I was a young mother I didn’t have much money.
Now, I go to them for all the exciting things I may see. Or to find something I am looking for. Find great deals and just never know the amazing things I would find. Cause I always wonder what was there, if I never went to the yard sale. I guess the fear of missing out always gets me.
Almost Passed on a Sale and Stayed home
I almost didn’t want to bother with this one sale. It was a Flea Market, and it was a small Community sale. I really didn’t think there would be anything there for me. Didn’t feel like going for the drive out there, just to be disappointed. But I felt like I should go. So glad I did because I found so many fabulous deals. So glad I did not miss out.
I would not have my great deals, and one of them was a 43″ Smart TV. I just love going to yard sales and thrift stores. I never get bored at going to any, if I don’t find things. That’s ok cause at least I got some fresh air and got outside. Since that is one thing I do need to make more time for. Working from Home seems to keep me indoors alot. Keeps me pretty busy, so I guess this is my excitement I get. And going to them saves me money too.
