This is a new fishing lure, called Bass Turtle. These are actually soft plastic, a durable lure that looks like a turtle. Why a turtle? Bass see a turtle as a predator in their home waters, that are looking to eat their eggs. So normally, the bass will strike the lure, to protect their eggs.
It is not just bass that turtles are the natural enemy of. It also includes other fresh and saltwater fish that turtles are always preying on fish eggs. So don’t you think this is a good idea to be a great lure?
Since the turtle is a natural enemy of the bass, they would just normally lash out at a baby turtle. Cause they can’t normally attack an adult turtle. A natural reflex for the bass and they are just protecting their eggs.
Can you imagine how it would be? You drop your lure in the water, and the bass sees it and thinks I gotta attack it. To save my eggs! So it attacks and you got a bass! Now, the fun starts. I don’t fish for bass myself, but I think it is like any other fishing. You don’t need your line in that long before you catch one. One isn’t enough, then of course you naturally would just continue fishing.
I like Trout Fishing
Trout fishing because that is what is here where I live- in BC. So we can fish in a creek, there are so many to choose from. You are not limited to just one fishing spot. You can go to many different creeks here in Lillooet, BC. Even a lake is here too if you like lake fishing. I have not caught anything in the lake, we call Seton Lake. Others have caught fish in the lake, I have seen some pictures of their freshly caught trout. Nice size ones too.
I like fishing, just to get out of the house and be outdoors. I mainly use grasshoppers for my bait, as the trout love them. If I can’t catch any, then I will go and buy some bait. Which is dew worms, sold at a gas station here in town. Recently, they have loved the worms. I had caught 8 over this past weekend.

There are many different ways to fish. Fly-fishing, rod fishing, or just sport fishing. Even dip netting is what we do. This is fishing for salmon, in the Fraser River. We fish for salmon mainly cause it is our main food source for winter. I would normally can or freeze my fresh salmon. We had not been able to fish for the past 2 years. Cause of the low fish count. This is sad for us, but that just means we need to buy more meat from the store. Which is another reason why I started looking at other ways to cook meat. A cheaper alternative is hamburger. So I look for ways to make this tasty and the kids don’t complain about hamburgers again!
