Best Ways to Care for Your Skin

Many look for the best ways to care for your skin. I know I used to think all I needed to do was wash and dry it. Never really put to much thought into it, till I started growing up more. Now that I am older now, I think I should have take more better care of my skin when I was younger. I should have used sunscreen, on my skin and face. Something that is so important and valuable, not spoken about much and it should be. Worry about your neck the most, cause you will see more wrinkles there then anywhere.

I know you need to be drinking water, cause if you think about it your skin contains alot of water. Plus, your body needs water too. So I guess I will be drinking even more water than I do now.

I always think of my skin when I am having some water or even some fruit. Just because I know it is healthy and good for my skin. Water is something I drink alot of mainly because I don’t like getting haedaches or muscle cramps.

We know we will age, but no one said that part was easy. But your skin does not have to show how old you are. You can have some help with that also. By applying some anti-aging serums. Or even an Instant Youth that you could also try.

Are You Drinking Enough Water??

Another thing you need to remember, is that your skin is made up of water also. You need to drink at least 8 glasses a day of water. Even if it is just herbal tea, flavored water, or iced tea. I like drinking the flavoured juice, just a enough to flavour my water.

I know I seem to always get a headache, which I try real hard to not have that anymore. I drink more water now and make sure of it too. Right now, since it’s summer I have popsicles or add ice to my water I am drinking. I even have to use some hydration drink to replenish my body. When I am so dehydrated and I need some help, also so I don’t get that dreaded headache I don’t like.

So yes, drink water whenever possible and do it often. Good habit to get into and you will be glad you did. Apply a good lotion to help your skin keep hydrated, here is a good lotion just go see what they have in their product line.

Sunscreen is so Important for your Skin

I realized long time ago how important sunscreen is for my skin. I don’t like showing my age. Meaning I don’t like how the wrinkles show up, that is one reason to wear sunscreen always. I make sure I apply it when I head out for my walk, or any activity outside. Even on cloudy days, I even put some on my tips of my ears and my top of my hands.

Make sure to use on your neck, cause it seems to easily wrinkle alot. So if you don’t like wrinkles -make sure to always have your sunscreen on before you head outside. Even going swimming at a lake, make sure to use water proof sunscreen. Good for 30 minutes of coverage time before re-applying.

Why is keeping your Stress down Good for your Skin?

I realized that being stressed has showed up in my skin. I break out in pimples when I feel really stressed. Or just not having the best week ever. My skin looks awful and sometimes looks all red or dry.

If you know your gonna have a tough day or week. Prep yourself and hydrate for your skin. Do all you can so your skin will now show your stress. Have a face mask night, and even maybe go as far as having a facial steam just before your mask. Like half hour before, just to open all the pores on your face. The more relaxed and less stressed your skin is the better.

No break outs or uneven rashes. Or even tired skin. Starting to read maybe something to look into. Or what do you do to relax, more relaxed you are the better. Help yourself before you even get stressed out. Go for a walk or even listen to music.

Getting enough Sleep is Important too

  • We all need to have a great sleep, learn to wind down before bedtime. Meaning, shut down your devices 30 minutes before bedtime. Dim the lights help you to get relaxed to be able to go to sleep later.
  • You can even have a good routine like a beauty routine for your skin before bedtime. Washing your face and applying some good night cream or lotion to your face. Let it work overnight while you sleep.
  • Go to sleep the same time every night, making it a habit. Getting you a better more restful sleep.

Doing these help to get you in that better REM sleep zone we all need. The one that gets you to where you are saying I had the best sleep ever. I know I always sleep well, but not to where I feel so fabulous the next day. Believe me, you want that feeling. So do all that you can do to ensure you get enought sleep when you do sleep. At least 7-9 hours is great, and less is good, but not always better.

I know my skin shows when I have slept great or not. My skin/face looks red or tight and tired looking. But the tightness could be from not enough of drinking water.
