Going Swimming In a River

Going swimming in a river is something I do a lot. Now when you think of a river, what do you think about it? A great way to cool off. Is it a river that is running really fast, and going to fast to even think about going in?

going swimming in a river

Well, rivers are all different. Depending on where you live, some are even just creeks. Which are just smaller rivers. Most rivers go into another source of water. Maybe a lake or even a bigger creek.

But, going swimming in a river is something we had to do today. We couldn’t go to a beach at the lake. Too many people there. So we needed an alternative. Water there was even warmer too. Not many people there, and we found a great spot. That is slower running water and close to the shore. Great way to cool off.

We probably stayed there about an hour. Was great, little cold at first. But once we got in, water was great! So we always love going to our spot cause we have been there many times.

Finding Your Perfect Spot

We all love going to a place we love and know. So we came across this great spot a long time ago. Even my older kids loved going there, but they don’t go there much now.

So whether you are going swimming in a river or a lake, or even just a small creek. It is a great place to go to cool down. You find out that everyone loves that spot, you will find that you will go back to again. Now you found your spot.

When we need to have a good go to spot to go cool down, is great. Cause you can go right there, no need to look around for a place to go.

Why it is great to go to a lake or river.

The benefit of going into a body of water. Like a river or a lake. Some say that the creator washes you of all your bad energies. Basically, refreshes you and makes you feel great. So this is something that helps you with Self-Help, for making a better you.

I know if I feel weighed down with everyone else’s problems. Or if I knew someone that recently died, and I feel the weight of that on me. I usually always go straight to the lake. I come out feeling refreshed, and the weight I did feel, is gone.

So getting into the river/lake, will help you to feel refreshed. If you believe that is will. Even if you don’t, that’s ok too. Cause at least you have cooled off a bit. If you were needing some cooling off.

Does it pay to get a Pool?

Most people prefer to have their own pool, not liking others around them. It is a lot of work to care for a pool. For all the money you spend for a pool, does the pool pay-off in the end?

For the amount of money you buy a pool for. And the time it takes you to set it all up. Do you have others to help, or will they help you set it up?Or just use the pool once it’s set up. How many will use the pool?

This is what has to be considered when you want to buy a pool.

So….. did others help you set up your pool when you bought it? Or are you still thinking about it.

I know when I think about buying one. My kids won’t help me set it up. But I know they will use the pool. But that is the question, how much will it be used?? Is it worth it, or easier just to go to the lake.

Who Will Use the Pool when it’s set up?

I know my kids probably will only use it if I get in. Because they will say it is too cold. Am I right? Kids, most of them, want the pool to be really warm. Now seriously, are all pools really warm. No! But this is what we get when we buy a pool for the yard. Because it is outside, in the elements.

Now being outside, it will tend to get dirty. Which means you need to clean it, with a net too. So which means more work, for you!! Cause you know no one else will want to do it.So for it to be outside, I need to buy a cover for the pool. Solar cover, probably, to warm the water up.

After writing all this, I think I got my answer for getting a pool. Nope, not getting a pool. I will get stuck with all the work.

  • setting it up, from opening the box to set up
  • after I went to the store to get the pool
  • I would have to fill the pool too.
  • cleaning it with the pool net, after it sat there for a day or two.

Now that sure does look like alot of work for me. But I know kids would enjoy it. But I would be the one that would be stuck doing it all.

Swimming in A River or Lake Sounds Great!

So going to the lake, did at first sound like hard work. But we all did it together. Kids all get their own stuff ready, towels, snack , and water. They carry their own bag, and blow up their own floaty.

So all I have to do, is make sure the kids are in the truck when we leave. Go swimming with them in the lake, or sit and watch them.

No need to clean a pool, or take a cover off. Just sit back and enjoy the water, and watch my kids have fun. I say, that is less stress and less work for me.

Even though, I always thought it was alot to get ready to go to the lake. But nope, because everyone gets their own things ready. All the work is not just on me!! And a plus is I can sit back and enjoy too.
