Now I have kitchen clutter, I used to have appliances on my counter and I realized they don’t need to be on there. Cause I didn’t like how I felt when I went into the kitchen. Mainly cause I had the feeling that I needed to either clean it or organize it. So it is all clutter that needed to be in the cupboard and get it off the counters. Looks better and I feel better now that most of it is all way and not in the way.
So you want your kitchen to be easy to move around in, not trip over anything. You should have a flow with your kitchen and be able to find everything. I know I have that in my kitchen, but I also see a bunch of random things in my kitchen. Mainly cause things don’t have a place to go in my kitchen, I just realized that yesterday. So what did I do, I went and took out everything in my cupboards.
Now, I took it all out to see what to get rid of cause I forgot that those items were in there. Making room for my appliances to go into. That I use only when I need which is once a month or more, but they didn’t need to be on my counters.
Cupboards
What is their purpose? Do you store dishes in there and maybe pots and pans. Do your cupboards also hold your food or do you have a pantry for that? I do, so all my food and cans are in there. But I realized that I have too much food, cause it is all spilling over into my kitchen. On my counters and on top of my fridge. Even under my kitchen table, and in with my pots and pans.
So I first started with clearing out my cupboards of the kitchen clutter. I took out any of the food in there and the pots too. I found that I had more junk in there than the purpose it was actually meant for. The pots and pans. So after I took out all the stuff from the cupboards I washed them down and then only put my pots/pans back in there. Placed the food onto the kitchen table.
I got lots more space for the small appliances that were on the fridge freezer, so I added them in there too. Got rid of one appliance I realized I didn’t use since I bought it. Over a year and a half ago, wow been sitting there that long. I was shocked! So it does help for sure to get rid of kitchen clutter.
Where Does All The Food Go??
When I discovered all the extra food I had placed all over my kitchen I needed a place for all of it to go. Because it did not belong on my counters or on top of my fridge. So I made room to add another pantry for all the other food that spilled over. This panty cupboard worked well, but I went and did more shopping and got more food. So I am happy least all the food is not on the floor or on the counter. Think the only thing I have to do is make sure everything has a spot to be at. More organized so I will not end up adding to the kitchen clutter I don’t like.
I have my canning shelf finally organized now, all jars added and all the same size and placed so I know what I need to use right away. Looks so pretty now and all organized, so I still need to fix both my pantry cupboards now. Less stress and I know I will be more organized in the kitchen when I cook. That is what I tell myself when I look at all the kitchen clutter. Just so I stay on top of all of this and make sure my cooking area stays clean along with the rest of the kitchen.
Keep Your Kitchen Clean
You keep it clean so when you need to cook you won’t need to clean it first. I want to just walk in and get going on cooking my food. It makes it easier and faster, cause you don’t need to do dishes first or clear the counters either. But I have so many people in my house, that this does get hard at times. But I try and stay on top of it and make it easier when it comes to dinner time. I find when it is all clean that I can get in and out of the kitchen faster.
I think I will need to go into my kitchen and clean it during the day before I need to cook. Even organize and tidy up during the week to stay on top of it all. I will see if this works for me so my kitchen doesn’t end up getting cluttered again.
