My Limiting Belief Breakthrough I Now See

My limiting belief I found that I have, actually I say there are more than one. I have found many, most from the beginning of growing up and my childhood also. I know these limiting beliefs that I found are not even mine. They belong to others that have said something without even realizing that I took it as my own.

I now know that the belief I took was not my limiting belief, but that of the person that spoke it to me. They just aimed it at me and I believed it to be true.

  • I am not loved, that is why I am here
  • You were never meant to be born
  • I will always be poor
  • I am meant to always struggle
  • I will never make enough money
  • I will never own my own house
  • I am not smart enough to go to college, or get anywhere in life
  • You will never get new things/clothes or shoes
Limiting belief

Where in this, and why did I believe it and I hung onto it tight. Now this is my reframe in looking at this all different:

  • I am meant to be here, I have many great things to share with others.
  • I am loved, I know God loves me. My kids love me.
  • I am doing the steps to not struggle. I am on the right path.
  • I own my own business, where I will buy my own house.
  • I am smart, learning all the skills for life.
  • It didn’t matter if I didn’t have new things, even though I can go and buy them. I have the means to do that.

Work through the Limiting Belief you may have

Now this is not something that just happens overnight, it took a lifetime to have these. It will take some work and you will constantly doing it. Don’t forget about it and keep something short and simple to remind yourself each and every day or week. I know I struggle with this, but I will now make the effort to get this and keep up with this. Because myself needs it and it so impacts me in the future. Cause I only want to be carrying my own beliefs and not the ones of others.

Great Journal Prompts for myself to help with limiting belief:

limiting belief
  1. To my Younger self-what did you feel when you thought you were not loved or wanted?
  2. What do you think you thought when you were told you didn’t matter or even were wanted. And where do I still carry that weighted feeling in my own body?
  3. What did love even look like for me when I was a small child? What do I think I was missing that I did not get?
  4. And what are my limiting beliefs I see that I carried to my Adulthood. That basically came from my growing up (my childhood) Also did they come from childhood experiences that I had?
  5. Think about it now-how did I survive, had strength and adjusted, knowing that I was not loved?
  6. What do I speak to myself now and it needs to be the truth of it.
  7. When I say ” I am loved. I am worthy. I am enough”. How does this make me feel? Be honest.
  8. How do I want to be seen and be able to show up for myself now– in my own healing journey, in my business and in my own life?
  9. What do I think my inner child would feel knowing that I choose her. I am seeing her and loving her and now protecting her.
  10. What do I now need at this moment to feel safe and loved? What can I do so I can receive that?

This is a process, the journal writing will help with the journey. Find the core of what and where things were changed. Who’s limiting belief did you/I take on that was not ours, but theirs!

I see this now, and I know now how to help myself see that it is wrong and will be fixed. I just need to make them more positive and more for me.

What Else can I do ?

I started another journal for my gratitude things, what I find with things I can say to myself. Or even write down what I can, for the things I am grateful for that day. I heard that this is good to do before you get out of bed each day. Just one thing you are grateful for, that is easy one for me.

This does work, cause you are changing your whole mindset and how you feel and think. The more you do it the more it works. Starting was a process and I started with Motivational quotes, and found things about myself that made me think and wonder more. Then that lead to more of daily affirmation things. Now the limiting belief and how to repair and change all that.

Believe me it is alot, baby steps for sure. Find what works for you and will help you get to where you need to be. I think I am just doing it all right now. But for now, I am stuck at the journal part. That is hard one to do and it will for sure hurt.

Where did my Limiting Belief come From?

Mine came from when I was growing up, my childhood. It came from alot of family and my mom and step dad. Sometimes it was family just saying something to me without even knowing they said it. They for sure would deny it now and not even remember saying it. Of course we all don’t remember what we all say. It was brought to my attention, this limiting belief thing. I was thinking about things that hold me back, things I know are wrong.

To find these are called limiting belief, they were not even yours to carry or take as your own. Wow, is all I could say and I had to further look into this. I have always knew these little words someone said, I remembered. Could tell them to you if I was asked. They do hurt to repeat. But I guess I carried them because they were said to me, so they must be true.

When growing up we understand we need to listen and learn from others. Maybe that is why I took this and kept what I heard. Idk, but I did and now I know it was not mine.
