You feel like you have no need for makeup. I know the feeling, as I got older I feel like I don’t need it. Remember when you would turn on the tv and you would see an advertisement for a foundation for your skin. Seems to pop up everywhere you looked. No matter what channel you went to. There was no avoiding it at all. But that is advertising for you.
I used to always see commercials for lipstick either Covergirl or Mabelline. Not that it matters which brand it is. But it was seen everywhere. Especially around the holidays, cause that is when women would use makeup. Supposedly, is what the advertisers think. But, still, it was like everywhere!!! Now, again it is your choice if you want to wear makeup or not. Not to have it shoved in your face all the time.
Nowadays, you don’t see that much, not as much as they used to put the commercials on. I seem to see more lotion commercials. Now, why is that??? Idk. I always wondered why. Maybe because we are using so much hand sanitizer now and we worry about our hands drying. Cause that is very true that they dry out a lot more now. So we are buying more lotion.
How do they know what Commercials To Show?
Maybe that’s how, from our buying habits. How they know what we are looking for. Lotion sales are going up as high as hand sanitizers are going up. Just the same as rubbing alcohol. The cause of all the shopping trends is how they know what kind of commercials to show us.
Now some of the best makeup doesn’t get seen on tv. They rely on us affiliate marketers to market their product. Which is what I do. When You Get Older
I feel as I got older, I have no need for makeup. I have gotten tired of putting makeup on each every day. I know I used to use foundation and concealer and lipstick, eye shadows. Love my eye pencil. I ended up giving up all the makeup except for the eyeliners. I loved the liquid eyeliner, easy to put on. Till I found that I tend to pull my skin around my eyes. Which no one should do, especially if you know you are getting older. Cause it causes more wrinkles.
So I quit using eyeliners altogether. I only use lotion for my face now, and a light dust of baby powder on my face. Cause my face is a bit on the oily side, and this helps to stop some of the oil on my face. Makes me feel like I made some effort on my beauty regimen for the day. I am ready to leave the house if I need to.
Work From Home, But Still Get Ready?
I work from home, but I still act as if I leave for work. Each and every day, I get ready and dressed for my day, even though I sit at a desk most of the day. Now, don’t get me wrong. I would love to just sit around in my PJs all day. But I need a mental boost and motivation for my workday. This is what I do because then I perform at my best. Be ready for a zoom meeting or a call on the phone. I sound like I am at an office, which I actually am(just in my home). But I am still working, so why not play the role. It helps you to separate home life and work life. Things go more smoothly this way.
