Simple easy stirfry is so easy, I just wanted something that didn’t take long to make. Guess what I even made it the next day in the slow cooker. So easy and you can change it up when you need to also. I mean by changing the vegetables in the food your cooking. I did say it was easy and you are the cook remember.
Ground Turkey Stirfry
- 1 pound ground turkey(hamburger or ground pork or chicken)
- 2 cups or more of mixed stirfry vegetables
- 1 c. water or less (you will use this to mix with cornstarch-for thickener)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch and some chicken broth powder or even use broth instead of water.
- 3 cups rice cooked or pasta if you prefer
Start your rice cooker to make your rice before you cook your meat. Or if you prefer pasta go ahead and get that started. But it is started here so it will all be ready around the same time.
I first cooked the meat of my choice, which was the ground turkey. I added seasonings of my choice, onion salt, and garlic powder. I then would add the vegetables and a few minutes later I added the liquid that had the cornstarch already mixed with the water. This is to thicken your dinner, similar to the gravy but not.
When it is all done you plate up your rice or pasta and top with the meat stirfry. I also used soya sauce on top of my rice to add more flavor.
Chicken Stirfry
A Simple Easy Stirfry
That is in the image above, it turned out great. Using the same concept as the recipe above.
- 1 pound of chicken breast, sliced thin
- salt/pepper to season the chicken breast
- some frozen mixed california mix
- cooked rice to place your stirfry over.
Follow the recipe up above just change with these ingredients.
Now, how easy is that a simple easy stirfry that can be changed to suit your mood? You can do some steak instead of chicken if that is what your wish for. Or even if you have a leftover roast to use up you can do that too. I also did some hamburger and had that instead. I also just used mixed vegetables instead of stir-fry veggies.
Change up Your Vegetables
- frozed mixed veggies
- fresh carrots
- cauliflower or broccoli
- california mix
- frozen corn
- sliced onions and mushrooms
- celery, carrots, and onions.
These are just some ideas of how you could change it up. Or maybe you have different ones you can think about. Go ahead try different ones and you be the judge of what works best for your family. I know I didn’t have time to stand there and cook. So I stuck it all in the slow cooker and started my rice in the rice cooker. Dinner was delicious, so you can also try that out too.
I was busy in a meeting with my work-from-home business. A meeting I did not want to miss, so this worked out perfectly. So remember to always adjust what you make to fit the time you have and what foods your family likes. And what they will eat too. I have found that simple easy stirfry is something my family loves.
