Simple pasta sauces are something that can be used for a quick and easy dinner meal. Something that is very basic and that you most likely have in your kitchen already.
I know I love to try and make some different things with pasta all the time. Especially when I am really busy working.
Now I work from home, but yes I am still pretty busy. If I don’t have my day planned out, my day can get away from me. Meaning, before I know it, it is dinner time. Now that is when these ideas come to me.
When I am thinking of simple pasta sauces.
I don’t just want to turn around and make macaroni and cheese for supper. Would make the kids happy, but I don’t really care for it too much.
Homemade Alfredo Sauce
- 1 cup heaving cream
- 1-1.5 cups grated parmesan cheese
- some garlic
- butter – 1 tbsp.
Now start with a pan on low heat, just enough to melt the butter. Add some garlic, couple cloves. Or even just use powder if you don’t have fresh garlic. After, add the cream. Let it heat up and then when you think it is warm enough. Add the grated parmesan cheese. Start with one cup and see if you think you need more. It is your sauce and it is up to you.
After your sauce is done, you may add some pasta of your choice to the pot. If your pot is big enough to have the pasta in there also.
Now you have made your own homemade Alfredo sauce , now it wasn’t that hard to make. As long as you have the ingredients you need to make it.

Once you have a good sauce the possibilities are endless on what pasta you can add them to. We all love spaghetti and macaroni. There is many other pastas to eat also. Venture out and try something new. I know I still want to try to make my own pasta, but still never have. I have a pasta machine but I have not tried it. After I looked into it and I found it is not that hard to make. I just need to find some time to make some homemade pasta now. I know I will need to look up some recipes for making some now also. Put my KitchenAid to work and my pasta machine too.
