Swapping rooms is not as easy as you think it may be. Especially if you own alot of stuff in those rooms. Now, I mean alot of stuff that needs to be moved. While still trying to see the vision at the end of the tunnel. All of the stuff moved and your done.
Well when I tackled this task, I thought it was really easy. Was in my head, seemed like it was going to go smoothly. But in reality, I had lots to pack and sort. Forget sorting, I just packed. I needed to remember where all my things were also.

Wow, is right. But before all this got to be moved, I moved my daughters items out of my house. As she was moving elsewhere. She had lots to move also. Oh and she had my grandson’s things too. So if you can imagine the task with that also. I didn’t need to worry about that part, she was taking care of that. Oh and a crib and outside items to move too.
Right now, all my stuff is not moved back. Some is still sitting outside in my front of my place. Protected of course. They are in storage totes, so they are safe. My headboard and shelving are still out there, and more boxes. We were moving for about 7 hours. Got it to being liveable, but not all is inside yet. But we will get there, and I know right now that it is all clean for now.
I washed my walls and swept and vacuumed before I put things back. So all nice and clean smelling and ready for the rest of the things to come back in.
After all the moving
Didn’t get it all done, it is only partly done. We all got tired after all the moving. Am gonna get started again tomorrow, after lunch. Not too much to be done. Beds are moved and made. Rugs are in there already. Tv’s are all connected already and shelves are done and clean and tidy.
I already have my pictures up and my plants are moved already. I just need to place blankets, after I add my headboard back to my bed.
Also, still need to put my clothes away too. Looks so great right now, but I realized my clothes are not even in the room yet. I was wondering what I was missing. Too funny!!! So like I said it is almost done. But just not quite done, just yet. But a work in progress and it will all be finished tomorrow. So when you think the task of swapping rooms is easy, think again!! Cause it is not as easy as you think.
I know I sure did need the energy today. So when it was time to take a break, I reached for my snap. Had a brief break and had a drink and kept on going. No need to rest for too long, all this needed to get done. Rest time was for when we were almost all done.
So when you think about swapping rooms, try to declutter before you even tackle this task. Helps to not have to move so much things. Taking less time and less stress for you too. Believe me, you will be glad that you did!!!
Will I Do This Again?
No, I will not do this again. It was alot of work and I don’t want to do it again. I mean it took me a whole day to move all my things. Then put in my other room and that is not even setting up the other room or even cleaning it or anything. Took a couple days more to get it all squared away, but again it is alot of work. I did it because I had to, so just do it and get it over with. Happy in my new area and it works even better for me too. Love it, my own space even if it is out in the open. Still mine and I am in the centre of everything. Just how I wanted it.
