Time for Spring already? What does that mean for you? For me, it means its time to think about gardening time. What do I want to plant in my garden, or do I want a garden this year? I know it also means that I can go outside and go for a walk now. More exercise outside for me. But at this time, it is still too cold out, its May also. Snow on the mountain too, so I will wait on starting my garden for now.
Walking and Enjoy the Outdoors
Walking for me is great, a great way to exercise and enjoy the scenery. I also have a watch that mines Cryptocurrency. So I need to get my steps in for this. So now when I walk, I make more use of my time by listening to podcasts. Even better are the motivational ones or I guess you could listen to anything. As there are so many to choose from. Time for spring already, and time to get walking.
Walking is my exercise for the day. It helps me to clear my head and focus on work. Which takes a lot to learn to work from home. Many think it is easy. Hello! It’s not, because family walks in and bothers you. Cause they see you are home. So I need a routine and set time to work and focus. So family knows I am at work, not there for them right now. Walking helps with that, I focus better and see clearer. Oh and my snap I take each day helps me mentally focus. You can see that here.
Time For Spring Already?
Work outside in your yard? Clear your yard of garbage and rubbish. We all have an idea of what spring means. That is why I thought about its time for spring already. For me, it is my walk at first. Then I start looking around outside for what did not survive the winter. Like plants that are damaged, or even planters that just are wrecked. So I have lots of cleaning up to do and clearing things.
When its time for spring already, all of my tasks seem like so much. Not enough time to get them all done. Then I think about handing out some tasks for others to help me with.
Also, time to open the windows and doors. Letting some fresh air indoors and letting the stale air out of your house. I love when I can open my doors. So a refreshing and beautiful time for me. It resets my house and clears it all out. I guess that is when we think we need to do some spring cleaning. Cause we want that fresh clean smell again. Sometimes, we dread that saying. Time for some spring cleaning.
Spring Cleaning
What is that?? Washing your walls, or your floors? Or is it washing all your curtains and windows and letting fresh clean air indoors. Maybe you want to change all your bedding, rid of the winter bedding, and change for spring bedding. I like doing that after a month. Cause it is still a bit cold outside, so I usually change my sheets to cotton sheets. Instead of the flannel sheets. I will change my duvet to the light cover, not the winter one.
It is that cold here, so I have plastic on my windows. This would be the time when I will take my plastic down and put it away for next year. So I will be able to open the windows now. I know I need to clean my windows, cause they sweat during the winter. Oh and they also freeze too, so it gets all this garbage stuff on the window sill. Needing to clean and clear that up also.
Yes, spring is a lot of work for me. I try and focus on just the great feeling to be outside again. Going for my walk I missed during the wintertime. I try not to get overwhelmed with all I think or have to do. Focus on just the first thing I love about spring, My walk, that is when I think time for spring already?
Right now in 2025 Time for Spring has came late
It’s May now, and it is just warming up. Coming Monday is Victoria Day. Seems like every year it is later and later every year.
- Probably why I didn’t start my garden indoor plants right away. Cause it was still so cold outside and didn’t even feel like spring.
- The grandbabies and my daughter just started going out on the trampoline now too.
- Flowers are not even sprouted out yet either.
- others are pruning trees now too
- fresh cut lawns are happening more now
- winter plastic off the windows just came off
- opening windows for some fresh air indoors
- time for seeing all the birdies outside my house
