Trying to not get mad at someone is so hard sometimes. Let’s just say you have this someone, that just pushed that button of yours. Where you bite your lip and try to not lash out, or get mad. Cause you knew it was coming the second they either phoned you or you seen them. This is the person, that wants to talk to you and enjoy your company. But you just don’t see that happening. You like this person, or you just try really hard to just be nice. But they make it so hard!!!
Have that kind of person in your life, where you believe your day is ruined now. Just because this person came and spoke to you, and your day is over. You were trying to not get mad, thinking today will be different. They will talk about something different and won’t get you mad. Nope, they spoke about the same thing. But just a different spin on what they were talking about.
Make Them Feel Sorry For Them
That is another type of person, that I try to not speak with. They get me mad too. These couple people always get on my last nerve. Want everyone to bend over backwards for them, yet will not say thank you or anything. But just say, oh I would have done it but that was when I could in my younger days. Or I wish I could bend like that, or lift things, my body just can’t do that anymore.
Thats when I kinda feel sorry for them, but then not. Cause later to find out they are using their back or bending for something they want to do.
They just didn’t want to do this, they wanted to convince someone else to do it, meaning me. Not anymore, I woke up and realized, I will do things for me. Let them hire someone to do what they need, I am not there for them anymore, and they can do for themselves.
My Rant:
A woman I know talks about how sad her life is and how no one is there for her.
She is all alone! Yet, she is not alone and she has lots of family support. She just alienated all of them.
And they too want nothing to do with her either. She just thinks they don’t care about her anymore. Yet, they just can’t stand her pity party anymore. With the party of one.
Everyone must have one of these types of people in their family circle.
Or maybe just in your friend’s circle. I know we all know somebody, that just gets on your last nerve.
I know another one, that just helps others and is always there when others need help. But she never helps herself. She doesn’t do anything she needs to do in her own life.
But is so quick to judge others and she wonders why others do not help her. She helps them and thinks they will turn around and help her. Then I find she says why doesn’t anyone help me, I can’t do this. Or it’s I wish I could do that, but I can’t. Oh, how I would love that done in my yard. Or in my house. So again, I bite my lip and try to not get mad and annoyed. And I am trying to not get mad, but find I am really annoyed.
Trying To Not Get Mad-How Do You Cope?
For myself, I take a walk and listen to my music. I also take some deep breaths and think of somewhere else nice. I do also brush myself off. Like I scoop some air off my shoulders and push it down or away from me. It helps for me anyways and we all have our own way of dealing. I usually will have to do a lot, depending on how long I was with that person. That basically took all my happiness and made it into anger and being annoyed. So I may need a lot to get back to my happiness.
You do whatever it is that makes you happy again. Don’t go back to that person, you just need to have as little contact with him/her as little as possible. If you notice that you change when around that person, you will know it was them that got you upset. See how you are the next day, don’t have any contact with that person at all. See how you are, happy? Then you know it was that certain somebody, that upset your whole day.
What Makes You Happy?
A happy me is a good me, I love everything I am doing in the day. No stress and no headache and have a clear mind. Everyone likes being around me when I am happy and they know when I am not happy. Some know exactly who got me mad or just ruined my day.
What happened, is usually what my daughter would ask. I would tell her, and just talking about it got me mad. So I have just learned, less contact with this person the better.
Find yourself around somebody that is stressing you out, you can:
- not be around that person right now
- do not answer calls from this person for now
- step away and take some deep breaths of fresh air
- calming tell them you need to be left alone for now
- be calm(even though you already know your beyond that point)
- say something nice without sounding mean, and calmly walk away
This person basically is someone that is toxic in some way or another. They don’t believe that they are that kind of person. But others do, that is why the less contact the better. They need to see how things are wrong themselves since they are the only ones to fix themselves. We can’t make them see what they can’t see. Cause they have been living their life like this for so long, they see no wrong. We are all wrong in their eyes. Trying to not get mad when you are around them is so hard to do!!!
Trying To Not Get Mad At Kids Or The Husband
They just get under your skin, you did something the same way for years. Only you are the one that knows this, for some reason they saw it. You have always had your sheets in the same spot for years. Ask either your husband or your kids to put them away. They then ask where do they go??? You think to yourself –try not to stress out about this its ok.
You want some laundry soap put away and your kids have no clue where it goes!
Like really? Are you serious?
Where does laundry get washed? They look at you, and you just bite your tongue and remind yourself you love them.
Cause right now, you just want to scream at them!!! Been there done that. Gets me so mad. I told one kid once, just put it in the kitchen. I went in there to see where it was put. It was in the middle of the kitchen floor. I then remind myself, I love my son. What goes through their head sometimes?
But really, I still don’t get why they did or still do this! I am trying to not get mad, and possibly be just annoyed with them. But again it is hard. Especially when I know they know how to do this or where it really goes.
Now some examples:
- Where does the syrup go? (Pancakes every Sunday, and still don’t know?)
- I don’t know where you keep the laundry soap
- Where does the laundry basket go?
- How do I make juice, yet they see you do this many times
- Why are you not ready for school? Cause you didn’t come get me up.
- I can’t find anything to wear, cause they didn’t bring their laundry to the laundry room.
I always have found my family always come up with something that annoyed me. At least once or twice in a week. I would scratch my head and wonder what the heck? How and why would you even ask that, you sure must have seen my put these away. I know I have showed you many times.
Then again, what the heck?
