How About Making A Smoothie

How about making a smoothie so you can get some vitamins and minerals into your body. Which we are trying to live a healthier lifestyle. More exercise and more outdoors now. A smoothie is quick and easy as long as you have a blender and can make one. I use a blender when I make some for my family, but if it is just me I will use my Magic Bullet.

You can pick and choose which fruits you would like to add. Oh, and you can even buy some protein powder found in your grocery store. I found mine by my margarine and yogurt section. I passed it every day and didn’t even know what the packets were for. Now I do and I use them every once in a while in my smoothie for more staying power. Meaning, I want my smoothie to last longer than an hour. It seems to be more filling if I use the powder in it. Oh, and they also come in different flavors too.

So when you want another way to get some nutrients into yourself other than just eating some. Or just having some vitamins, a smoothie is your go-to drink to have. Mix with any kind of fruit you would like and however sweet you want to make it. Or not sweet at all if that is how you would like it. Remember it is all up to you and your own preferences. Because you are the one that will be drinking it. Unless you are making it for your family.

When making a smoothie

When you make a smoothie you can either use fresh or frozen fruit. Depending on what you have on hand, or even use canned fruit if that is what you have. I started to make a lot of smoothies last year. Because I had lots of frozen fruit that I never used in my baking. So to make some room in my freezer, I thought of making smoothies. After I tried one, there was no stopping me. I started to try out all different kinds of berries and juices and finding which ones I like the most.

What makes a smoothie taste really good

I loved to use oranges in mine, and strawberries are great too. Even banana adds a great taste to the smoothie also. That is what I found out that I like. I also found that using fresh orange juice is better than apple juice, but that may because of the variety of fruit I use. I am still testing this one out at the moment. Even adding yogurt is a great addition to your smoothie. It again is all up to you and what you want to add to your drink and how you would like it to taste. Go ahead and mix away and test what you think will taste great. Cause only you are the best judge of how you would like your smoothie.
