Learn to Knit- a useable hobby to -have you ever wanted to learn? Because I think when we’re a child, we saw our Grandmother knit. You think I don’t know if I can do that. It looks too hard, too complicated. What happens if I forget where I was. I don’t know even where to start. You too can Learn to Knit-as long as you are willing to learn. Well somewhere in your mind, you always wanted to learn how. A good way to start is to start with the basics. Just learn how to do the Knit Stitch. As there are so many stitches that can be done. But you have to go with the basics first. That is the base of all the projects you will do. Because once you learn that, there are a lot of knit projects you can do. Also, knitting is known to be relaxing and fun and a useful hobby!! I do this at the end of my day to unwind after a busy day of work. For Patterns
You can look for some free patterns, at www.redheart.com. Go from there and see if there is a stitch you may need to learn. Or even if you do know how to knit/crochet and just don’t know where to start.
I liked to just knit small squares to start. To get some practice, and do more. As they always never did look the same, each square was always different from the other one.
From anything to easy as a simple dishcloth and to something like a blanket. That’s how I first started, was Making small dishcloths. Sure I did mess up a lot. I can’t tell you how frustrating it was at first. But I did stick with it. Then I tried different stitches when I knew my stitches were all the same tightness. Like they weren’t all floppy and lopsided.
YOU CAN LEARN TO KNIT
YouTube is great for a way to learn and see how it is done. When I struggle I go head to YouTube, and just be specific on what your looking for. Learn the knit stitch then learn how to do the purl stitch. Combine those and you make a rib stitch. But first learn the basics. So much to be found out
With each one, either learn to knit or crochet. There are lots out there online, or on Amazon, or even your local library- where you can search how-to books on this. Learn to knit- a useable hobby, that can be learned at any age.
I Have a Hard Time Knitting
If you have a hard time knitting, just know that you are not alone. We all do and just remember that practice makes perfect. Start with a small project first and learn just one stitch and go from there. Master how to do the one stitch which would be knit. Cause purl stitch may be a bit complicated, so learn the knit stitch first. I know it was confusing for me, cause we call it knitting and knit is an actual stitch in knitting.
