Overwhelmed by stuff-how did you ever get this far. You don’t know where to start. Your things have taken over your house. What do you do??
I was just thinking this over the weekend. I know we don’t just invite the things in our house at one time. It actually happens over a long or short period of time. My struggle is that I love yard sales. Love what I can find. Awesome deals for sure.
Alot of the things I do have, is alot of colouring books and pencils/gel pens. Some markers and papers.
Most of my things I still do have. Most of the things I get, I still use. Some things I bought, to just try it. And never really liked it, but still hung on it. It most likely is still in my house right now.
I now realize that most things made it inside my house, but never really left my house. So over time, they just added up to more things. Which is the struggle I realize now. Overwhelmed by stuff, so much, just don’t know where to start and how.
YOUR NOT ALONE!!!!
We all struggle with what to do with our stuff.
Maybe you struggle with clothes, or books or just things. Doesn’t really matter, just remember to own what you brought in. Acknowledge all your things, and start to think how do you want your life to be.
What does that mean. When you first moved into your place, did you have a vision?? HOW DID YOU SEE YOUR PLACE TO BE? Sure not the way it is right now.
I know this is not how I want my place to be. I want it clean, tidy, calming.
- welcoming
- not cluttered
- clean and tidy
- able to find anything
- clean
Now that you see your place for what it is. You can change it to how you really want it. A place you really want to be. Start by decluttering– you need to do this before you even organize anything.
Remember the struggle is real. We all go through it at one time or another. I even get overwhelmed with just what is on my desk. I always wonder how it got that bad. I think I may need to try to remember to clean it each day when I am done working.
Which is something I need to add to my daily routine, my routine is how I keep my day organized. I need to help so I get all my things done each and every day.
When you work from home, being your own boss. You are the one you need to answer to, no one else. Which sometimes makes it even harder, but it is just a learning process. Cause I would prefer to work from home than to work for someone else.
