Give away crochet blankets are something I just started to do. I didn’t really think anyone would love any of my blankets. I do make these with my own hands and they do take alot of time to make. So when I think of giving them away, I live to now have a person in mind when I make one. This would be made more with love when I crochet it and not just another blanket.
I recently gave one to my grandson and his mom. I asked them which colors they would like the blankets to be. So they had some say in the making of their blanket, and they would love it even more. The look on their face when they got their blankets made me so happy to see. Even if the day was not the best day ever, but seeing their smile made it better.
I love The Blankets I Make
I make c2c blankets, quick easy and works up quick. And when I do make so many I don’t mind that I give away crochet blankets more now. Because I love making them and want others to care for what I make also. When I am done making blankets I will need to make myself some slippers, maybe even make some to give away also.
So when I think about how many blankets one person should or can own. I say unlimited, but I need to be realistic. I really only need a few, at least for my bed. That end up not getting used because they are just to small. So I started making bigger blankets and started to think about giving away crochet blankets. To ones that will appreciate them as much as I do.
When you make so many blankets remember to give away crochet blankets is a good thing. You share your love of making blankets with another person.
Lap Blanket
I made a lap blanket, especially for my desk chair, cause I do get cold when I sit at work. Even though I work from home and am able to turn on the heat. I need to be considerate of the others in my home. So a lap blanket was just what I needed. A weird shape of course, not square but long like a rectangle.Using c2c crochet again, since I needed it to be a bit airy also. So it worked perfect, love my blanket and in my fav color purple.
I am now thinking I may need to make a light shawl for my shoulders when I sit here. Sometimes a sweater is just too much, gets in my way, or gets me hot. Cause I work at my computer and my arms are constantly on my desk. So a shawl may be the perfect thing I need. Shall see and look further into that.
Make Cat Blankets
I have even made some small cute blankets for my cats. They love lying on them in the winter, while they are on my chair. Keeps my chair clean and keeps my cats happy. I now use these blankets on top of my throw blankets that I use. Cats like the lift they got and they are even more happier with more warmth for them.
I made a blanket for my desk chair also for when I am not on it. Cause cats like sleeping on my chair when they can. So I have a nice pillowcase on it for them to lie on with their blanket on that.
