Fishing with family is something that I do love. I love going fishing, especially if it is in my favorite spot. Now I do have to say that I have more than one favorite spot to fish at, but when I fish the rest of the family will go for a walk and go and explore. There are other things that can be done while I enjoy some fishing.
Some spots have some great sand patches for them to play in. Especially grand kids, bring some shovels and buckets and they are happy. Even bring some bubbles to blow and watch them land on the water. So there is always something for everyone.
We used to go for a long drive just so we could go fishing. But this was when the kids were younger and couldn’t voice what they thought. We used to always pack lunch and off we went. Even though they grew up on always going rod fishing, they don’t care for it.
They do love when we would go to the Hydro spot, because it was close to the Fraser River. They loved looking for pretty rocks while I fished. Or they would play in the sand area, but they got bored pretty fast. Good for a half hour or so and then they wanted to go home.
BBQ for Lunch
We make the most of our day, and we think of how long we will be out. So that is when we think if we need to bring lunch. Everyone loves a BBQ, and they love when dad does this. Something he does very good, and most times it is just hotdogs. We used to do hamburgers and chips, but that does take time. And Hamburger patties don’t travel well, as we never pack ice on our short trips. Used to be just things we can pick up in a grocery store. Chips, pop, snacks and weiners and buns.
We seem to always forget to bring a shopping bag for garbage. or even a towel so we can wash up. Always forget a bar of soap for the sticky hands of grandkids. Especially if they had a juicebox and spilled it.
We do love having a Bbq and who doesn’t?
Great day Fishing with Family and creating memories and finding new camping spots. Is a great way to spend the day with the ones you love.
Fish spots Make Great Camp spots too
I have found great spots when we went camping. I always bring my fishing rod when we go, for the just incase. Cause I know there are some areas I want to go and check out. Some places we have went camping, have really low water. But, guess what there are still little fish in there even. But of course, we throw them back. But is sure is fun just looking for the next new spot, and all the exploring we can do. Or should I say that I can do, I love figuring out a good spot. Think about the nice fish I will catch in my brand new spot, that I found!
I found this great fish spot in Rogers Creek, and found it was so cool there. Nice out of the sun and would be a great camp spot and fish spot. This was just down the road from where we normally camped at. Kids even loved the spot and now it is our go-to spot for camping. Even though it is close to the highway. This spot has so many fishing spots there also, and a good walk too. One spot is a good hike to another great spot. Making this a great time of fishing with family, cause they love this place as much as I do.
Good Drive and A Great Day Out
We are planning a day together and are wondering what we should do? I need to think of everyone that is coming out with us, that helps me to plan what we are doing. No one knows what we are doing until I lay it all out for them. The place we are going and what we are doing and what time we are leaving. It has been like this for as long as I can remember. They all follow on what I have planned and when it is happening. I have asked others to step up and see what their ideas are, but in the end it is up to me if we are doing it or not.
I am planning a daytrip for tomorrow. I want to go fishing, my daughter wants to go out of town and my grandbabies need a place to play. Out of the sun too and not too hot. And we can’t just go fishing, because tomorrow is my daughter’s birthday, actually one day early. But still her day tomorrow and she doesn’t want to go fishing, so I needed to plan something that would please her also.
I am so glad I came up with a plan and it is a go. We will eat before we leave and have cake I think as a snack when we get out there. Not too sure right now, but the trip is planned for going out to Rogers Creek. Fishing With Family is great, but I always make sure we can do other things there too. Remember have to please everyone on the day trip, not just doing some fishing. That way everyone has some fun and we all get to spend some time together as a family.
Creating Memories
When we spend the day together and we are all having fun. We all try and capture the moments we have, with lots of pictures and lots of laughs. We are all in the same area and enjoying each others company. Because even though we live apart, we love spending time together. Just a bit of time together is good enough for us. There is only so much of time we can be together before we get on each other’s nerves. But don’t get me wrong, we do love each other. Just we have reached that time in our family dynamic, that we can’t be around each other for long.
Fishing with Family is just one of the many things we love to do together. Some are at spots where others can play in some water and have fun. We found good places that have sand areas for the grandbabies to enjoy some time also. No matter where we go we all get to have fun. No one gets left out, and we get to have a great day out in the wilderness unwinding from working all week.
