Time Management

Time management in working from home is sometimes hard for many of us. Well most of us are doing that lately, working from home. Or even just starting to get your business on the start. Because, face it, times have changed.

But we still need to make this all work for us, whether it be, you stay home and work. Or you leave home and go to work, you still have to figure out how and what needs your time too. Not just work is the only thing, LIFE is another one. Hobbies, obligations, family whatever it is, they need to have some of your time too.

I think that time management is something we all need to figure out what works for your needs. Where your time is best spent doing what. You are better at making the most of your time doing something productive. Earns you money or at least makes the most of your valuable time.

I currently work from home and need to manage my family also. Means making time for both things. I need to make the most of my work from home because it makes me money. Also, make time for my family because they need me too.

Many Things That Need To Get Done

I know, I am currently working from home, and I have a garden to care for. Flowers also, and a house to clean, kids to cook and care for. I also have things that I love to do. Sure does sound like a lot of things to do and not enough time in one day for it all.

So I do my best to manage my time as best as I can. I work a little in the morning while having my morning coffee. Then do whatever I need in my house. It could just be laundry day, or I need to clean up my house. Then I work outside for a bit-yardwork.

I try and squeeze out what I can do in an hour. I need to work after all this, cause it is the best time to work. When I am full of energy. So I try not to waste it in the morning. It is my most productive time of the day. Some people are more productive in the evening.

Then it is back to work after all that is done. I work up till supper time, make and eat dinner. Then, it is time to kick back and either watch tv or read. But I usually catch up with the games I have on my iPad.

I remind myself that I have family here, that will help me with the chores of the day. Everything will get done by someone.

Let Others Help!!!

That’s when you need to make the most of your day, maybe it will be offsetting some of the things that you do. Get someone else to do the dishes, kids can fold laundry. My daughter waters flowers and plants for me. My son helps cook meals when I do ask him.

Sometimes, for dinner, we will just have a simple dinner, that doesn’t take much time-sandwiches. Or even a simple soup and garlic toast/bread. Let someone else vacuum for you and tidy up. Freeing up more of your time to get your things done.

That’s when time management comes works for you even more. Because you have given up some of your tasks to others. That helps you a lot more in being able to work from home. I started to realize that I don’t need to be the one doing it all. Others live in my house too, and they are all capable of helping me out too.

Because if I don’t get my work done all the bills don’t get paid. No internet and hydro for the kids. No food to eat, or any of all that good stuff they love so much and need. So you need to see that your time is “valuable and the why?”

So sometimes just a little help in figuring out what needs to get done and why, Is always good to think about and make it happen.

Work From Home Successfully

If you working from home, I hope you’re able to manage your time successfully. Have the kids coming and going at all times, trying to get your attention. Believe me, I know the feeling. They just want to show me things, and of course. I take the time to listen to them, in between my work.

And all that I do throughout the day. Which again, comes time management. You have to learn and know how to do this if you have others that want your time too. What or who it is, you have to learn how to manage your time. Meaningless stress and you get things done. Get main things done now at the start of your day. All other things can be done later in the day if you can. At least you can say you did what you had to get done at the start of your day.

Whether it be working at home, or having kids at home with you. You will be able to get most of the things done that you need to. Once you get it down and know what you can do. Things will get done. Be proud of yourself to figure out time management!

So I need to get a bunch of things done each day. Today seems to be a lot and I am not done. Time management in working is worth working out. Manage your time to the best that you can, to get all that needs to be done. Sometimes time slots work out and just get it done!!!
